Jahsent Music

About Jahsent

Born in the serene Maracas Valley of St. Joseph, Trinidad and Tobago, Jahsent emerged from a backdrop of rich cultural rhythms and communal spirit. As the youngest of three children, his childhood was painted with the vibrant colors of early morning hikes, riverside gatherings, and the soulful beats of Nyambinghi drums—a nod to the local Bobo Ashanti Rastafarians. It was here, amidst sound clashes and freestyle battles, that Jahsent’s musical destiny began to unfurl.

A pivotal moment in his early life came when a Rastafari elder deemed him “Jah Sent,” a name that would define both his identity and his music. With no formal training but a heart full of passion, he soaked up the eclectic influences around him, from reggae legends like Bob Marley to hip-hop maestros such as Nas. These influences brewed a unique musical concoction that Jahsent would bring with him to South Florida, where his professional journey took shape under the guidance of industry veterans like Redlyte at Big Mon Entertainment.
